Event: Strickland Media Celebrity Christmas Event

5 Dec

Last night I was kindly invited along to the Strickland Media Celebrity Christmas event held at the Rydges Hotel near Kensington. There were a whole host of brands showcasing their products, plenty of goodybags, cupcakes, cocktails and even a couple of cheeky Fake Bake spray tan booths (where I spied Nicola Maclean and reality star Josie Gibson). Also spotted were the lovely Katie Piper, singer Lemar and the gorgeous TOWIE ladies Lydia Bright and Debbie Bright.

There were a couple of beauty brands that I hadn’t heard of and am really keen to try out, including Love Your Skin and The Vintage Cosmetic Company. Love Your Skin is a skincare brand designed to provide customers with products that contain good quality ingredients, are simple to understand and actually work. It is owned by a fabulous lady called Lorraine who was at the event and spent a long time passionately talking to us about skincare and about her aim to strip it back to basics with her range. The Vintage Cosmetic Company goodybag was really beautiful and included a vintage style floral make up bag complete with eyelash curlers and false eyelashes – I can’t wait to test these!

I also managed to get my hands on the Fake Bake Airbrush fake tan which I will hopefully do a review of soon…
