Launches: Louise Thompson for Goddiva and Gary Cockerill False Eyelashes

1 Dec

On Thursday night I popped along to two celeb launches; the first was Made in Chelsea girl Louise Thompson’s new clothing range for Goddiva and the second was celebrity make-up artist Gary Cockerill’s new false lashes launch.

Louise Thompson’s range for Goddiva is focused around evening-wear, featuring black prom dresses, metallic knits and fitted pencil dresses. The clothes are reasonably priced, ranging from £22 upwards, which might seem odd for someone who is known on the Chelsea socialite scene but Louise admitted to me on the night that she hadn’t actually had that much involvement with the range which might explain it. Guests were generously invited to pick an item of their choice from the range (albeit from a very small, squashed changing room!) and I picked out this cute prom-style black dress with sequin top and applique bottom that will hopefully work well for one of my festive parties.

After squeezing ourselves out of the small pub venue, the lovely Emma and I headed over to Covent Garden for Gary Cockerill’s lash launch, where the red carpet and papps were waiting for the celebs due to attend. After getting out of their way, we entered a very busy room where canapés and drink were flowing. Gary’s lash collection looks great and I LOVE the way that each pack has a pair for day and night – such a good idea! At just under £15, they seem really good value and there is plenty of choice for girls who prefer a more natural look as well as those who like the full on Essex look!

We were kindly treated to some samples in our goodybags so I shall hopefully post a review up soon!
