After work yesterday afternoon I popped into Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge for the ‘Beauty Bazaar’ Press Day. This was to celebrate the launch of the new Beauty Bazaar (like a beauty hall) concept in Liverpool One and showcased some of the brands that were involved.
It was a lovely set up with plenty of cocktails, orange juice and canapaes available. There was a nails station with complimentary Nails Inc manicures on offer, a Nars table with complimentary mini makeovers available and a hair station for express hair styling. Unfortunately I didn’t have long enough to enjoy any of these but I did have a quick chat to some of the stalls; one of my favourites was Strip Wax Bar who specialise in ‘delicious’ and ‘decadent’ waxing as they offer waxes smelling like ‘Chocolate and Hazelnut’, ‘Olive’ and ‘Berry’. The stall was really cute and the attendant was so friendly so I definitely think I will give one of these unique waxes a go. They are mostly based in London with boutiques in Topshop’s Oxford Street flagship store, Chelsea, Notting Hill, Soho and City (by St. Pauls) as well as in Essex and Bristol.
I also noticed a really intruiging Andy Warhol inspired collection by Nars but unfortunately there was no assistant around to explain it to me! Nor was I offered a goodybag! So I just had to have a cheeky macaroon and head on – what a life eh.
