Selfridges Manchester Beauty Event and Lucile Lingerie Press Event

1 May

This week is a busy one with press events and it kicked off yesterday with a Beauty evening at Selfridges in Manchester city centre! Guests were invited to come down and sip on some Moet whilst getting demonstrations, samples and freebies from different beauty counters on the bottom floor. I’ve not had a chance to try out any of the samples yet but the ones I am most excited about are the Kiehl’s skincare range as well as Clinique’s redness solution foundation. Kiehl’s developed from being an apothecary and had a really cute counter so I am keen to see whether the products deliver and I’m intrigued to see whether Clinique’s redness solution foundation matches up to it’s Even Better range. It ended up being a really good evening with plenty of champagne flowing! Here are a few of my freebies:

This evening I popped down to Epernay champagne bar in Manchester for the Lucile lingeries press launch. Lucille lingerie is proper luxury with prices starting from £100 on the website. It plays heavily on it’s heritage and the lace on each item is hand cut just as it was all those years ago. It was lovely to see the pieces but it was disappointing being at such a gorgeous champagne bar with not a single complimentary drink – soft or otherwise- on offer!

I went to a Kiehls event on Tuesday, and I must say I was really impressed. I had never used any of their products before, but I’ve just started, and while its early days, I do love their skin rescuer right now. Oh those silks are gorgeous too. They look so glamourous x

[…] If drinks are more your thing for Valentine’s Day then I would definitely recommend Epernay, a champagne bar found near the upmarket area of Deansgate. The inside is sophisticated, with glass walls overlooking the city, a brick bar and golden fairylights all over, with plenty of wine and champagne offers to tempt your taste buds. I only got the chance to go in once for a Lucille Lingerie event – you can read more about that here. […]
